The Logistics Process

The graphic shows the process from pack request, through recruitment at sites to sample processing and storage and central data collection

The request is received from the site at NIHR BioResource,  they create pack IDs and send them to the pack making facilty who assemble and deliver the packs to the site that requested them.  Completed samples are then sent to the National BioSample Centre and participant consent and phenotype data to the central recruitment and IT teams.

The graphic shows the process of processing of samples to DNA, plasma and serum from blood collection tubes at the central laboratory.
